OUR PROJECT

GOOD HEALTH PROGRAM (GHP)

Our good health program is designed to bring healthcare outreaches to remote communities and vulnerable populations.

It sensitizes the communities to certain health challenges like sickle cell, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, Malaria, disability challenges, etc. While carrying out the sensitization outreach, free testing and drugs, as related to the health challenges are provided, and palliatives and disability aids are equally provided.

AOA Foundation usually collaborates with medical authorities, Health agencies, and Foundations that focus on a certain area of health to carry out this sensitization for the vulnerable populations.

AOA Foundation has helped over 1000 people mainly women and children. With more support, the organization hopes to spread out the free health services to more regions both in and outside Nigeria.

CHILD AID PROGRAM (CAP)

Our carefully designed child aid program is an educational program that includes Back-to-school initiatives, scholarships for government school pupils, and Educates a Vulnerable Child program (EVC).

This program enables vulnerable children to not only have access to free education and educational materials but also educates children on Sex education and safety measure, hygiene, and consent.

This program is less than two years has reached over 16,000 children and will continue to do more in remote communities, IDP camps, etc.

WE-EMPOWER (WE-EM) PROJECT

In line with our mission statement, the WE-EM Project is specifically designed to empower women and youth with entrepreneurial skills and suitable means of livelihood.

This is done through developing key life skills via our training and workshops. The AOA Foundation also supports participants with start-up capital for their businesses.

HOPE TO HOPELESS (H2H)

Our carefully designed Hope to Hopeless (H2H) is geared towards humanitarian services. This project takes a lot of awareness and skillfulness to shift the energy of hopelessness among internally displaced persons (IDP) camp dwellers, orphanages, persons living with disability (PLD) groups and widows’ groups, etc.

Just like the saying “If you hang around a lot of hopeless friends, more than likely, you will begin to feel hopeless. And if you hang out with people who are filled with the hope you too will begin to feel hopeful.”

AOA makes a point of duty to hang out with these groups of people, providing palliative and relief materials, supporting with school fees and educational materials, organizing training, and contributing to the processes that will help re-integrated them into the society.

SEXUAL ABUSE PREVENTION & EDUCATION FOR KIDS (SAPEK)

Our SAPEK project was born due to the increased rape and sexual abuse incidents among children during the COVID locked-down period in Nigeria. The project uses the creative approach of music, cartoons, and animation, to enlighten and sensitize Nigerian children at primary and secondary school levels about Sexual Abuse.

AOA Foundation so far has published 1000 Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to be used in schools and religious organizations to educate children and young adults.

Using this colourful pictorial representation, music, and themed characters in IEC materials is to show children step-by-step safety tips on how to protect themselves from paedophiles and help them assimilate faster and better.

AOA Foundation hopes for government buy-ins to include these IEC materials into the school curriculum under the Physical and Health education syllabus.

LETS TALK CHARITY (LTC)

This is a television program in line with our mission statement which was born after the COVID lockdown in Nigeria when we realized that most of the petty businesses and traders have lost their means of livelihood and have been struggling to survive all this while.

Therefore, the let’s talk charity project is specifically designed to re-empower women and youths who fall into this category by telling their stories through documentary series while seeking financial support for them from the general public to encourage their skills and improve their means of livelihood.

The general public, People living with disabilities, and individuals with health challenges that need support and are willing to tell their stories are also invited to the program. AOA Foundation also supports participants with start-up capital for their businesses.

In less than 2 years 45 episodes of LTC have been aired on MiTV on DSTV and ASO TV, Channel 127 on StarTimes

The organization has a subdomain that hosts crowd-funding for empowering and supporting these individuals, you can click here to check it out.
