In 2021, high rates of child sexual abuse were recorded due to the forced lock down that had occured in previous months. the AOAF successfully embarked on its SAPEK school tour that provided sensitizations on Child sexual abuse to schools in Abuja,Cross river and Niger state respectively. A total of 1944 children received sensitizations. particular target groups who remain at a high risk such as children living with disabilities and orphans. children living in underserved communities were not left out as they remain at a risk of exploitation as well. AOAF sensitizations allowed children to have a safe space of free expression on salient matters concerning their rights and total well being.
AOAF also visited orphanage homes in both Abuja and Kogi state with food support and essential needs such as books,pampers and educational materials.
