THE AKPANKE FOUNDATION (TAF) IN COLLABORATION WITH ANNEOZENG OGOZI AID FOUNDATION (AOAF)

The purpose of life is not to be happy, it is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate andto make a difference that you have lived and lived well. No one is useless in this world that lightens the burdens of another, and when we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is happy.

Therefore, The Akpanke Foundation and Anneozeng Ogozi Aid foundation are not left out in showing and rendering their own part in their little way to render humanitarian service to the less privilege.

So as part of this non- governmental agencies’ strategy to fulfill its obligation on the project to reach out to the needy, they deem it fit to reach out to the people of Obalinku cross Rivers State which is the paternal and maternal home of the CEO of The Akpanke Foundation, Mr. Peter Anatiashie Akpanke. The organization embarked on a one- week outreach to conduct health outreach to the community, to educate and train women and widows on skills acquisition and empowerment, and to distribute relief materials for widows and the physically challenged, which has touched the lives of so many people especially the widows in the community.
At the end of the outreach, it can be concluded that a total number of six hundred and ten (610) persons benefited from the medical aspect of the outreach which comprises of the optometry, cancer, malaria, blood pressure and the hypertension patients. Also, a total number of three hundred and thirty three (333) persons benefited from the skill acquisition which comprises of the pastry and toiletry. A total number of ten (10) persons with disabilities were able to go home with wheel chairs each. In addition, a total number of twelve (12) persons that are physically challenged were given clutches to aid their movement. Lastly, a total number of not less than hundred (100) persons were empowered financially. With their heart full with joy, prayers were rendered to the two foundations by the beneficiaries.

It is a challenge to every human on earth to make the world a better place for you and I to live in by given the little you can to the needy or the less privileged, whether in cash or kind.
