The Anneozeng Ogozi Aid Foundation carried out a medical outreach on 1st of December 2018 to mark the World AIDS day at Kuchi-Bana. The proposed activity was a success as the organization was able to carry out their second medical outreach successfully with the support from Society for Family Health (SFH) who provided them with 720 pieces of condoms that were distributed alongside drugs and HIV test kits- which was used for screening.
The theme for the World Aid Day 2018 was “Know Your Status” and according to UNAIDS, today three in four people living with HIV know their status, but we still have miles to go. The good news is that there are many new ways of expanding access to HIV testing. Self-testing, community-based testing and multi disease testing are all helping people to know their HIV status.
